Natural, effective, and  gentle on your clothes but tough on stains, the White Marseille Soap is a laundry room staple in our Grand-Mère family! Made of vegetable oils, free from artificial color, fragrance and chemical products, this cube of white Marseille soap is recommended to wash all textiles gently, in particular delicate items (baby clothes, fragile fabrics…). It is remarkably efficient on resistant stains.

 

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE:

For laundry washing:

  • For stubborn stains: rub the cube of soap on the stain before washing. Put the garment in your washing machine. Ideal for greasy stains, stubborn stains and shirt collars.
  • For hand-washing: gently washes all textiles, in particular delicate items (baby clothes, wool, silk, lace, etc.) Wet the clothes. Wash them with the Marseille soap. Make a foam. Rinse in clean water.   

To wash your hands:

  • Can also be used for face and body cleansing

Marius Fabre prides itself on being only one of five soap makers in the world today to still craft Marseilles soap, crafting their products for over 100 years. Savon de Marseilles, or Marseilles Soap, has been made in France for 600 years. Traditionally green or white, it contains at least 70% vegetable oils, typically a mix of olive, coconut, or palm oils with no animal additives or by products. Authentic Marseilles soap takes weeks to make, beginning with a heating process that lasts more than a week then left to harden. Once solid, the soap is cut and dried in the sun. Today, Marius’ great grand daughters, Marie and Julie Bousquet-Fabre, are perpetuating this great family adventure with the same passion. Twenty five people work at the Marius Fabre company.
