How far would you go to protect someone you love?

Set in the near future, Safekeeping tells the story of Tenley Ward, a mother whose world is upended when her nineteen-year-old son is selected for military service amid a newly reinstated draft. Determined to protect him, she rallies a group of fellow mothers into a growing anti-draft movement, setting in motion a series of events that will challenge everything she believes about family, loyalty, and love.

When a young Marine veteran joins the movement, an unexpected connection complicates Tenley's already fragile world. As the stakes rise, she must confront the difficult space between protecting the people we love and recognizing how little we can truly control.

Thought-provoking and deeply human, Safekeeping is a powerful debut novel exploring motherhood, grief, desire, privilege, and the extraordinary lengths we go to for those we hold dear.
